Subtitles that stay with your next episode

Choosing Portuguese subtitles should not mean choosing them again on the next episode. The 2.22.31 update, released October 17, fixes subtitle preferences in MangaMazing's ani.pm integration.
What changed in ani.pm
The wrapper no longer forces English subtitles. It saves the player's explicit settings and restores them when the player is ready, including the selected subtitle language or Off. Episode navigation and reload keep that preference. Audio and hard/soft subtitle availability still depend on the selected title and episode.
What we checked
Short real-browser checks covered Portuguese subtitles from episode one to two on desktop and a mobile-width viewport, plus Off after reload. The same Frieren episode transition retained Portuguese on MegaPlay and AniXo; those two integrations did not need a change for this case. This is a checked example, not a promise about every title or physical phone.
When a movie has no subtitles
An empty subtitle list can mean the provider returned no tracks. In the checked The Odyssey / A Odisseia listing, all four available variants had zero subtitle tracks. Changing a language filter cannot create a missing track.
When you have a matching SRT or WebVTT file, use the movie player's local subtitle import. Match the file to the same cut and timing. MangaMazing does not automatically generate or translate subtitles.
Your source stays your choice
External players open only after you select them. MangaMazing does not silently replace your chosen provider, episode or audio. External players may show ads or popups and have their own controls.
If a case fails, report the title, season, episode, chosen source and subtitle language. Do not include account credentials. Check source availability or read the current product overview. Manga reading, downloads and e-reader conversion remain free; the media area is separate.
