MangaMazing combines manga search, reading, downloads and e-reader conversion in the browser. Those tools remain free without an account. An account adds a personal library and social features; the separate media membership costs US$5/month.

First published October 6; updated October 18 with the 2.22.31 subtitle-preference fix released October 17 and the current product notes. Older posts describe earlier releases, not a guarantee of current catalog coverage.

Search and read manga

The public browser lists 16 configured manga catalogs across English, Portuguese and multi-language sources. Metadata references such as MyAnimeList through Jikan are not counted as chapter providers.

Search across sources, inspect chapter lists and choose your edition and language. The BEST label identifies the matching usable source with the most chapters within the chosen content language; provider priority only breaks equal-coverage ties. It does not mean every chapter has been tested.

The reader has page navigation, long-strip reading, fit controls, zoom and chapter navigation. Mobile detail pages have clearer chapter controls; preloading adapts to slower connections and Data Saver.

Downloads and Kindle or Kobo conversion

Select chapters, follow the download job and use the completed download as conversion input. Output formats are EPUB, MOBI, AZW3, CBZ and PDF, with profiles for Kindle, Kobo and other e-readers.

Use EPUB with Amazon's Send to Kindle service, or transfer compatible files through USB or Calibre. MangaMazing creates the file; it does not connect to your Amazon account or send it automatically. The Guides section explains formats and device workflows. Use downloads and conversions for material you own or are allowed to copy.

Anonymous jobs are scoped to the browser session. Sign-in adds personal favorites and history rather than a shared library.

Anime: your source and audio

The membership area now searches and filters the full upstream anime catalogue, with six sorts and URL-persistent search/filter/page state. A banner/cover spotlight, rounded score cards, exact-MAL related titles and broadcast schedules supplement seasonal discovery and rankings. AniList and Jikan remain distinct metadata references; upcoming broadcasts do not guarantee playable uploads. Native source checks arrive progressively.

BetterAnime and Goyabu provide PT-BR availability; GogoAnime Mirror has an English catalog. Audio editions vary by provider. The player does not switch to another provider or audio edition automatically. Retry your chosen source or choose an alternative manually. Next, Previous and reload preserve your selection.

MegaPlay and AniXo join ani.pm as explicit external-player choices. They open only after a click, retain exact MAL/episode/audio context and do not silently replace native providers. AniXo is sandboxed; MegaPlay refuses sandbox and has a fixed-origin exception. Source status distinguishes HTTP embed checks from catalogue or playback proof.

The ani.pm external player remains another explicit choice. Audio and subtitle variants depend on the title and episode. External players can have ads, popups or their own fullscreen controls; the site keeps those warnings visible instead of silently opening another provider.

Movies & TV

The separate Movies & TV tab belongs to the account-gated media area. It includes film and TV discovery, search, title details and availability using TMDB metadata, with seasons and episode selection for series. Where a playback source is available, the corresponding player flow is offered. A metadata entry does not guarantee playable media or a particular audio language.

Media access does not put the manga reader or converter behind a subscription.

Profile, Community and Friends

Accounts keep personal profiles, favorites and reading or watch history. Profile visibility is configurable; private history is not a public feed by default.

Community has discussions, recommendations, replies, likes and spoiler-marked posts, plus reporting and blocking controls. Friends includes reader discovery, friend requests, accepted friendships and friend activity. Participation requires sign-in, separate from the paid media membership.

Latest improvements

  • Global anime discovery, related titles, airing information and exact-identity external players.
  • Episode groups/search, a compact media shell and private paginated history with account-bound removal.
  • Account-owned native resume, opt-in next episode and owner-only engaged-use metrics, not raw visit counts.
  • More resilient anime discovery and metadata recovery.
  • Progressive source checks and a manual source refresh action.
  • Repaired native title matching and player extraction without substituting a different work, season or episode.
  • Clearer errors for missing episodes, unavailable upstream players and timeouts.
  • Updated Cloudflare handling for Goyabu while retaining the source.
  • Explicit ani.pm audio and subtitle preferences retained through episode navigation, including Portuguese and Off after reload in the checked samples.
  • A subtitle update explains the fix and missing film tracks.

Availability and limits

Status reports source health, response time and recent checks. A healthy provider can still lack a particular chapter or episode. The latest release was checked with short real playback samples and mobile/desktop navigation, not every title, full episode or physical phone. SuperFlix remains blocked for playback; it is not an additional working option.

The interface and this overview are available in English and Portuguese. The project is open source on GitHub. Optional Ko-fi support is separate from the media membership.
